Lovely Lavender Day at PHARSALIA

Begin your morning at 10 a.m. sipping lavender lemonade, meeting other workshop participants, and touring the historic private home, Pharsalia, and grounds. Annie Baggett of sunshine lavender farm ( www.sunshinelavenderfarm.com ) will share her knowledge about growing, caring for, and using lavender. And yes, lavender may be grown successfully in Virginia! Enjoy a tasty lavender laced lunch complete with Lavender Ice Cream! Beneath our purple tent, find lots of lavender seedlings, vases, clippers and hand crafted items from which to purchase. Lovely Lavender Day will wrap up at 3 pm. Please join us (and bring a friend) to enjoy this relaxing day in the country.

Fresh Floral Display
Create a fresh floral arrangement. You may bring your own petite vessel, like a tea cup or small container or purchase one at Pharsalia. Choose from flowers that are grown in Pharsalia's cutting gardens. Create your very own fresh lavender arrangement with guidance using lots of sweet lavender and an abundence of other fresh blooming flowers. Fee of $68.00 paid by check for reservation.

Crafting with Fresh Lavender
Create two crafts (a wand, basket, braided wreath or swag) from fresh lavender. Fee of $98.00 paid by check for reservation.


Fresh Lavender Wreath
Annie will guide you to create your very own 8" fresh lavender wreath using bunches and bunches of sweet lavender. Fee of $128.00 paid by check for reservation.

Wednesday, July 23 from 6:30-9 p.m.
Workshop on Creating Unique Flower Arrangement Containers with Amy Webb

This Paula Pryke inspired workshop focuses on incorporating the floral container with the flower arrangement. We will use ribbon, grasses, vegetables, tree branches, etc. to create a base for our floral arrangement. Using natural container ideas allows us to use fewer flowers and enhances the flowers we do use. Our imagination will be our guide. Materials and flowers provided. Dessert will be served! Wednesday, August 6th from 5:30-8 p.m.
Salsa Making Workshop with Shaaron Honeycutt

Creating and tasting fresh salsas with various ingredients such as peaches, corn, artichokes in addition to tomatoes. Various methods for preserving tomatoes will be discussed.
