Adjoining Pharsalia's spacious kitchen, a cozy den houses over 1,000 cookbooks collected over generations. Workshop guests will sip a hot mug by the fire (weather permitting) and choose recipes they would like to have copied to create their own "Taste of Pharsalia" cookbook to take home.
The autumnal emphasis will be on pumpkin and apple recipes, but any recipe that sounds delicious to you we encourage keeping. Please bring a favorite recipe or two of your own to share with others. A Pharsalia neighbor is starting us off with Pumpkin Cashew Quesadillas and Granny Smith Apple Cole Slaw.
The apple orchards that surround Pharsalia will be heavy with fruit, so we will be doing an apple tasting. Experience the nuanced differences between an Albemarle Pippin, a Gala and a Stayman, among others.
