Sourdough Basics Workshop #2 with Cindy Stutts (Friday, March 20, 2026)

Join us and Cindy Stutts for a beginner’s sourdough bread workshop which will be held at our Airbnb Foxtrot Lodge, just over the hill from Pharsalia. Sourdough baking is a healthier alternative to using commercial yeast in bread baking. In this workshop, participants will learn the steps of maintaining a sourdough starter, mixing and fermenting an artisan loaf as well as shaping and baking a bread recipe. This hands on experience will be so valuable and fun in learning how to enjoy making sourdough bread!

All participants will receive:

  • a dehydrated starter to take home and begin your sourdough baking journey.

  • a container for dough that you have started in the class

  • a banneton

  • rice flour to prevent sticking

  • a handout with recipes and basic sourdough tips and resources

  • opportunity to sample a variety of delicious sourdough breads in the class.

Hint: If you have a kitchen digital thermometer and/or scale, please bring to use in the class.

Class will be limited in size.

Fee for the workshop is $135.00 which includes a light lunch and will be held rain or shine.
