Kids Summer Program

Pharsalia's Summer Program

This program is specially crafted for students ages 7-12, and will cover activities typical to early 19th century plantation life in a hands-on and educational way. The program will last three days, 9am to 3pm. Tuesday through Thursday, June 23, 24, and 25.

Based around the unique and original buildings at Pharsalia; these three days will include hands-on activities such as brick making and candle making.  Hearth cooking, components of Federal period interior design, native plants and animals, Slavery, and Native American culture will complete the experience.

Rachel Deddens, local historian and Pharsalia's own curator, has created this new program to get children excited about and interested in the lives and lifestyles of our ancestors.
