Meg is a fabulous arranger and teacher. She has the natural talent and creativity that many people strive to have. She is queen at installing the unexpected in her arrangements!! Below, after much prodding, she tells us about herself.
I have had a passion for flowers since I was a young child! In 1982, this passion turned into a flower business. My partner was Nancy Patterson Driskill whom many may know. For 30 years we arranged out of our home, planted our own cutting gardens, foraged from the highways and byways, we used to call it "stealing" and created what we thought were beautiful seasonal arrangements for weddings, parties and special events.
For 35 years, I worked at SunTrust Bank and retired 5 years ago. I organized and started a flower guild at my church in Lynchburg, served as past president of Hillside Garden Club, conducted a workshop with seasonal ideas for Christ Church in Georgetown and continue to hold flower arranging workshops at Pharsalia in Nelson County. On a personal level, I am married with one son and have a precious daughter in law, who shares my passion ( no choice!!) in arranging for special events for friends.
