Lavender Day with Annie Baggett THIS WORKSHOP IS FULL

Come spend the day at Pharsalia and learn from the lavender expert, Annie Baggett of North Carolina, about growing, landscaping, harvesting, cooking, crafting, eating and caring for your lavender. Annie will share the best varieties to grow in Virginia and the region as well as versatile uses while also answering any of your lavender garden questions.

This fun workshop will also include making a simple lavender syrup that you can take home to use as a base ingredient for recipes all summer long. Annie will also share recipes and ideas for menus that span the seasons. From beverages to appetizers, main dishes and desserts, you will discover easy ways to elevate the foodie experience sure to impress your dinner guests.

Fee for the workshop as well as all materials and a fresh-from-the-garden catered lunch is $90.00.

Lavender plants and products from Annie Baggett’s farm will be available for sale on that day so bring a friend, gardening pal or come solo and enjoy a day in the country.

Annie Greer Baggett of Sunshine Lavender Farm of North Carolina has been coming to Pharsalia every spring to share the joys and special calming aromas of lavender, a treasured and unique herb that we are fortunate to be able to grow in our climate. Annie and Dale’s farm is open for Lavender Harvest Celebration during June bloom and in December for the Lavender Holiday Celebration. You will catch the duo at the Hillsborough Farmers Market teaching folks how to successfully grow lavender in the garden at their March and October Lavender Planting Clinics too.
