May is one of the busiest months at Pharsalia when over 1,000 peony plants are in bloom. Tree (mid to late April), Itoh and Herbaceous peony plants produce some of the most beautiful flowers sought out by brides and floral designers as well as home gardeners and arrangers. Peonies come in an array of spectacular colors with buds that open to a bomb, single, semi-double and even triple bloom.

In this workshop, you will be able to dive headfirst into cutting your own peonies while walking the grounds of Pharsalia with Foxie as she shares information about the types, planting and care instructions in order to have a healthy peony plant.

Once the instruction time is over, you will create your own beautiful arrangement using the container that you brought from home. A wonderful catered lunch will be served under the tent following this workshop.

Cost for the workshop and lunch is $110.00.

Please bring a clean bucket, clippers and a container to use for your arrangement. A box is also recommended to transport your arrangement home. Pharsalia’s favorite clippers as well as some specially chosen annuals and perennials will be for sale on this day. The workshop will take place rain or shine.
