As spring emerges, more and more flowers begin to bloom and the gardens awake with the colors and fragrances of the season. May is “all hands on deck” at Pharsalia as we cut four to five times a day to keep up with over 3,000 peony plants that are in bloom. Arrayed in many colors, bloom sizes and in shades of pinks, reds, whites, corals and even yellows, it’s no wonder why this flower is one of the most popular with brides and home gardeners.
This workshop is for anyone who is partial to peonies and flower arranging. Any skill level is welcomed and guidance will be given, if needed, during the arranging time. You will begin by meeting under the tent where Foxie will go over a few techniques and mechanics of flower arranging before you begin cutting. Handouts will also be provided.
As you walk the grounds with Foxie to cut-your-own 25 peonies as well as other flowers and foliage for your arrangement, Foxie will educate you on the types of peonies and how to plant and grow them.
Once cutting is over and you arrive back to the tent, you will be turned loose to create-your-own masterpiece. Pharsalia will also have additional buckets of flowers and foliage already cut under the tent to use as well. When everyone is finished arranging, anything that is left over in these buckets can be taken home with you in your bucket to enjoy.
Please bring a clean plastic bucket with a handle, clippers and a container for your arrangement. A box is also suggested to transport your arrangement home.
Fee for the workshop is $145.00 and lunch will be provided. This workshop is rain or shine.
